ZoopUp the way you hire?

Professional Zooplancers are seasoned freelancers with field expertise. Whether you have newly started out as a freelance consultant or been in the game for a long time, on this platform only your field experience counts.

Client is the individual or company seeking the service of a Zooplancer. They post projects on ZoopUp and recruit Zooplancers by –
  • Matching skill profile and handing the project to the Zooplancer they choose.
  • Posting projects for bid on the website.
  • Buying readymade projects put up for sale by a Zooplancer.
  • Announcing competition for which everyone can submit their entries.

Zooplancers can get work on ZoopUp in three ways –
  • a. By bidding on projects uploaded by client
  • b. By displaying readymade projects for sale
  • c. By participating in competitions posted by client

Fill in your profile with skills, highlighting the key skills with detailed biography of work experience. No personal or contact information should be shared.

A complete profile is a must to participate in any activity on ZoopUp. It lets clients know why you're best suited for the job and gives them assurance of legitimacy of your expertise.

The best way to succeed in the ZoopUp plaza is to align your skills with the skill requirement posted by the recruiting client for the project and remain actively engaged with clients and other freelancers. You can create unique projects and sell them on ZoopUp or study and place bids in tandem, creating a service bouquet for the client which will help you leverage a cost advantage.

Professional ZoopLancers have advantage in terms of experience when competing or bidding for projects. A ZoopLancer winning a project is entirely up to the client’s discretion.

Refer to the training content development for understanding the format for developing training modules. Any ZoopLancer who has a skill they feel will add value to their colleagues can create a training module and share it on ZoopSkill share. If your training material meets the ZoopUp professional standards, we will upload it.

Anyone can be a professional ZoopLancer. If the client wants you to work exclusively for their project or your company does not allow you to have any other professional engagement, then your liability lies with them, and you will have to come up with some arrangement with them.

The duration of any project will depend on the deadlines set by the client, it can be a short term or long-term project.

ZoopUp is only a job posting board and our responsibility is to display posts made by clients and ZoopLancer. Whether you post a finished project up for sale or bid for a project that has been posted by the client, you quote the rates for your services and be your own boss in the marketplace.

Rising Zooplancer is a freelancer who is foraying into the professional world and exploring the market to find their niche. Students looking for part-time jobs, internship opportunities or projects to gain experience will be the rising Zooplancers, who are much in demand among clients – both SMBs and large corporates. Rising Zooplancers are also professionals venturing into new careers in a different field and come with another set of professional skills.

The rising ZoopLancer is someone with little to no experience in the field. Their rates are generally lower than that of professional ZoopLancers, and their portfolio may not have any work experience to show.

ZoopUp is an open market where anybody can bid for project, compete for projects, or post their readymade projects for sale. So, even if you are a rising ZoopLancer you can compete in the market and if the client likes you, they will select your work.

A rising ZoopLancer can get noticed by continuously participating in competitions and bidding for projects, posting some of their independent work for sale and winning new projects. The key is to stay visible and do different work at great prices to establish a client base.

Rising ZoopLancers can set their own rates and charge the clients for their services as per their discretion or as per the rates offered by the client for the project. It is conducive to charge as per one’s experience because at this stage it is as much about gaining meaningful experience as it is about earning. For this reason, their rates may be negotiable.

If a rising ZoopLancer can create engaging training video and material that add value to a person’s portfolio then you can submit your training material and qualify to become a Zoop Trainer. ZoopUp presents extensive base for newcomers to ease into the professional world with verified job opportunities that will add value to their budding portfolio.

Whether you are a student or changing your career, ZoopUp offers a professional platform where one will not only learn through meaningful practical exposure, but also earn for their efforts. As you take your first steps into the professional world and explore what the market has to offer, start with the best companies to build a formidable portfolio.

Among those who apply for the project, Rising ZoopLancers can be identified as those individuals who have less experience and charge less. They will apply in the Rising ZoopLancer category.

ZoopSkill trainer is anyone who offers professional training programmes. They may offer training programmes on any topic and share skill training based upon their experience and understanding of the subject. The ZoopSkill trainer is someone with strong skills and ready to wear the mantle of a teacher to share their skills with other professionals aspiring to learn about the field. They offer practical courses, and the course objectives are for the knowledge to be translated into applicable skills. There is a broad range of subjects in which skill training programmes are being uploaded by Zooplancers.

Training will be audio-visual as the skill trainer will record their training videos and upload study material with it.

The ZoopSkill trainer may set the rates for their programmes as per their discretion.

Yes. You can contact the ZoopSkill trainer via their profile and negotiate with them for a bespoke training programme for your company.

Upon successfully completing the requisite hours of skill training you will be awarded a certificate of completion by ZoopUp that will eb automatically added to your ZoopUp profile.

ZoopSkill Training Programmes are meant to provide practical understanding and actionable knowledge of a subject which the person who has attended the training programme can apply in their professional or personal life. If a project demands a particular skill which you have no knowledge or experience in, you can attend the skill programme and showcase it for meeting the project qualification requirement.

ZoopUp the way you earn?

The client will award the bid to whoever they feel is the best fit for the project they have posted after reviewing the bidder’s proposal and viewing their profile.

If you are awarded the project by the client, you will be notified via your news feed and email.

You have 36 hours to accept or reject the project and finalise the terms with the client.

You can submit your proposal for the project via –
  • Email
  • Chatbox
  • Project page

If you do not respond to the award within 36-hours, it will be automatically revoked. *We recommend that you only bid on projects that you can commit to complete as outlined in the code of conduct.

The bid proposal is the proposal the ZoopLancer writes when placing a bid. It will start with a brief profile of the ZoopLancer explaining why they would be suitable for the project. It will include details pertaining to the ZoopLancer’s qualification, budget estimates, and link to their portfolio and ZoopUp profile.

To avoid penalties and for your bid proposal to be taken seriously, avoid –
  • Using generic proposals on multiple projects
  • Bid and accept project you have no expertise in
  • Bid at a low price and then significantly raise the prices once your proposal has been awarded
  • Give out or ask contact information in your bid

Some reasons why you cannot bid on a project –
  • Incomplete profile. Be sure to add
    • Profile picture
    • Rates (hourly, project wise, days)
    • Language
    • location
  • Key skills do not match. At least one key skill must match.
  • You have used up all your bids for the month
  • Project restrictions placed by the client

There are three types of bids you can choose from to attract client’s attention and have a higher chance of winning –
  • Sponsored – pin your bid to the top of the bid list. Only one Sponsored bid is allowed for each project so the access to “Sponsored project” is on first come, first served basis.
  • Sealed – Hide your bid details from other ZoopLancers bidding for the project, ensuring only the client can see your bid proposal.
  • Highlight – Your bid will be highlighted in Yellow to make it standout. Each project can have up to five highlighted bids so access to Highlight is on first come, first served basis.
*Bid upgrades can be made by clicking on Upgrade bid. The bid upgrade fees are non-refundable.

Click Retract on your bid card to retract your bid. You can also do it on My Projects page. If you want to bid on the project again, you can do it if the bid is still open, and you still have the available bids on your account.

*Note –

  • Bid upgrade will not be refunded when you retract the bid.
  • Retracted bid does not add back to your bid account.
  • You cannot retract a bid once the project is awarded to you.

Go to the Project Page, locate your bid, and click Edit Bid on your bid card. You can only edit your bid while the project is open for bidding. Once awarded, editing a bid requires client’s confirmation. Under Edit Bid, you will be able to update the following –
  • Your Bid amount
  • The Deadline or number of days you are committing to complete the project
  • Your proposal
  • Your Bid Upgrade
  • Your project timeline

Editing the Bid Amount for a project in progress requires the client’s confirmation. Freelancers can edit their bid amount at any time while bidding is still open. To change the bid amount –
  • Go to the Proposal tab of the Project page
  • Locate your Bid and click edit and make the requisite changes
  • You will be relocated to the Place a Bid page on the Project section of the project’s Details tab. Here, you can edit the bid amount, estimated deadline, proposal, and proposed timeline
  • Click Update Bid to finish.

Your bidding will be restricted if it does not meet the pre-requisites. Some reasons why your bids are getting restricted include –
  • Using generic bid template that can be applied for any project.
  • Using duplicate bids for multiple projects even where the projects require different skills.
  • Proposals that do not highlight your treatment of the project.
  • Proposals that are incomplete and do not meet the basic project profile requirement.
If the ZoopLancer frequently makes the same error of posting sub-par bids, they will face prolonged restrictions until they are notified on the dashboard page.
